Leo Jang

Bass

Leo Jang (Bass) wurde in Südkorea geboren und erhielt seine Gesangsausbildung an der Seoul National University. 2005 setzte er sein Studium an der Kölner Musikhochschule fort. Bisher sang er den Graf von Eberbach in Albert Lortzings „Der Wildschütz“, Mr. Gedge in Benjamin Brittens „Albert Herrings“, Ping in Puccinis „Turandot“, den Vater in Humperdincks „Hänsel und Gretel“, Germont in Verdis „La traviata“, die Titelrolle in Tschaikowskis „Eugen Onegin“, Nick Shadow in Strawinskys „The Rake’s Progress“, Dr. Falke in „Die Fledermaus“ von Johann Strauss und das Bariton-Solo in Orffs „Carmina Burana“. Von 2009 bis 2012 war Leo Jang Ensemblemitglied des Theaters Vorpommern. Seit der Spielzeit 2012/2013 ist er im Opernchor des Stadttheater Gießen engagiert, wo er in dieser Spielzeit auch die Solorolle des Theseus in Benjamin Brittens „Ein Sommernachtstraum“ singt.
