Die Tanzkompanie des Pfalztheaters Kaiserlautern ist mit einem Doppelabend zu Gast, der zwei Stücke herausragender israelisch-amerikanischer Choreographinnen verbindet. Ihr gemeinsamer Tanzabend folgt der Ausdruckskraft des Körpers ebenso wie der Macht unserer Emotionen.

Roni Chadash ließ sich für ihre Uraufführung „Lots of Movements“ durch Bachs Partita Nr. 2 c-Moll inspirieren: „Ich habe mich in jeden ihrer Sätze verliebt und spürte, dass ihre Noten meine Nerven direkt berühren, indem sie die Teile meines Körpers so schnell und mit einer Intelligenz bewegen, die nur der Körper erreichen kann – ohne das Zutun von Logik und Kontrolle.“ Die Choreographin entwickelte daraus eine Reihe von Solos und Duos, die von der Persönlichkeit der jeweils Tanzenden leben.
Talia Beck widmet sich in „Take the Stage“ den körperlichen Gesten von Gefühlen von Wut, Verletzlichkeit und Scham. Sie reflektiert, seziert und kopiert diese mit den Mitteln des zeitgenössischen Tanzes und versucht dabei der Frage nachzugehen, wie der Mensch von ihnen geprägt ist und ob es gelingen kann, sich von ihrem Einfluss zu befreien.

The dance company of the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern is performing a double bill that combines two pieces by outstanding Israeli-American choreographers. Their joint dance evening explores the expressiveness of the body as well as the power of our emotions.
Roni Chadash was inspired by Bach's Partita No. 2 in C minor for her world premiere ‘Lots of Movements’: ‘I fell in love with each of its movements and felt that its notes touched my nerves directly, moving parts of my body so quickly and with an intelligence that only the body can achieve – without the intervention of logic and control.’ The choreographer developed a series of solos and duets based on this, which draw on the personality of the dancers.
In ‘Take the Stage’, Talia Beck focuses on the physical gestures of feelings of anger, vulnerability and shame. She reflects on, dissects and copies them using the means of contemporary dance, attempting to explore the question of how humans are shaped by them and whether it is possible to free oneself from their influence.
