The dance ensemble of Stadttheater Gießen’s works reimagines the potential the cross-genre of dance and physical theatre has to offer. Constantin Hochkeppel (artistic director) has a strong interest in producing meaningful work on culturally relevant topics using choreographic and theatrical tools. Together with guest choreographers, the company creates around 4 pieces per season, occasionally collaborating with other departments of the theatre (drama, young theatre, or music theatre).
Our artistic practice and team thrive on bringing together a diversity of people and opinions and we aim to make space for a plurality of human experiences. We strive for a collaborative, inclusive, and open ensemble culture that supports its artists’ ideas, needs, and interests. More on our work can be found here.
